the steering wheel is for driving pleasure, it is a genuine Momo with an imported bosskit for airbags...

The car is from Singapore but made in Japan and the engine is a d17, could be a swap but definitely not a rs I think they call it es1.

Now touch wood about the fcuk up part. I spend a lot of time looking after my ride making sure nothing is amiss...

moris the video is great. I love the vtec sound. A lot of expensive sports cars have a horrible sound (in my opinion). Listen to the Honda NSX. Waaaooo. The vtec sound makes you want to go faster.

About the airbags... I guess that instead of paying 80K for a new steering wheel, one could place a sports wheel. Yours is R9K. I think that's why there are some reconditioned cars with cheap "sport" steering wheels.

About insurance... There are different ways the classify cars after damage. From what I have read, this is what I have understood. These are the types of total losses:

Salvage title - Cost of damage is more than 75% of cars market value. Usually the car can still be driven. Picture an old car that has a market value of R50 000. Now if the car gets rather minor damaged in front, the cos of repair could be more than R40 000. Yet the car is can be driven around. This is salvage title.

Junk title - Same as above except that the car cannot be driven.

Rebuilt vehicle - Same as salvage title, but it has been rebuilt using refurbished parts. The car should drive okay.

Additional info:
Salvage title is often described as "uneconomical to repair". Because if a badly damaged car is repaired, its price will considerably decrease compared to other cars of the same year and same brand/model.

Clean title is used for new cars that have never been in accidents.
